Avaiable in two roadnumbers.  The Canadian National Railway Acquired 123 of the SD40-2W locomotives, numbered 5241-5363. The prototype SD40-2W was also manufactured without the dynamic brake. This first release N scale model has the continuous roof line with no dynamic brake. The model includes the wide safety cab and the stairwells parallel to the length of the locomotive, unique to CN. This model is painted with the red cab and the large sloped light gray stripes on the black hood. There are many finely molded plastic details and etched metal details. The smooth powerful drive is DCC ready. The model is equipped with Micro-Trains® couplers.
