This BI 50-3 class 50Ft plug door boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks was built for Union Pacific to handle temperature sensitive cargos. Ready-to-run car features a detailed, injection-molded styrene body and fine decoration. Models include free-rolling Delrin(R) trucks with contoured axles, truck-mounted Magne-Matic(R) couplers and diecast metal underframes or interior weights. Where appropriate cars also include thin-profile roofwalks, foot stirrups, brake wheels and working sliding doors. Union Pacific continues to operate today as one of the largest Class 1 railroads in North America with over 32,000 miles of track.
