In late 2020, a group of four former Norfolk Southern SD70M-2 locomotives arrived on the property of the New York, Susquehanna and Western railway. The units were initially pressed into service wearing standard black Norfolk Southern paint, with a small patch on the cab. In 2023 the units were painted in NYSWs attractive yellow-and-black livery, based on the scheme that had been applied to the B40-8s
