Through the 1970's, the Paducah shops of the Illinois Central rebuilt worn out EMD GP7 & GP9 locomotives into the GP10.
The InterMountain Railway Company HO Scale GP10 Locomotive is manufactured with finely molded parts that have been designed to reproduce railroad specific details, featuring:
- HORST Air Filter
- Horizontal Nose Headlight
- Extended Right-front Tool Box
- Engine Access Hatches on the roof.
Sound units are equipped with an ESU LokSound 5 DCC decoder**
